I read this prequel after already reading the first book, but I’m glad I did because it gave me more context about the beginning events in The Raven and The Dove. I’m about to start the second book, The Hunter and The Mage and this book made me even more excited to get back into this world!

Such a delightful snippet, I adored The Raven and the Dove and this has geared me up perfectly for diving into the sequel!

This seems like a very interesting story! It was a good introduction to Lyana and Rafe's lives and their magical world. I'm really excited to move on to The Raven And The Dove and see how the courting trials turn out, as well as what King Malek might be planning.

A nice introduction to the series. I've read The Raven and the Dove already, but I'm about to start my reread and then I'll continue immediately with books 2 and 3, so this was a nice touch to complete the set.
