I absolutely loved Ava and Sam's story, I loved them in truth or dare and am thrilled with how their story turned out. I do believe this is my favorite story I've read by Mira. I can't wait to see how Ford's story goes in the next book and to get more information on Ava, Sam, Maggie, and Tyler.

Received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I liked it, and thought the characters had great chemistry up until Sam started rejecting Ava because she said she loved him. I didn't really understand why he was so angry, and the prolonged emotional drama detracted from this novel.

I loved the friendship and history  between Sam and Ava, and we get to see a lot of it. I loved reading about their changing relationship. My only issue is Sam’s complete 180 and Ava’s response of Yay! and lack of questioning about it.

4.5 stars -- I received a copy of this ebook through NetGalley!

This book had so much awesome. The chemistry between the characters was off the charts!!! And not just the sexual chemistry, but the bantering and friendship between Sam and Ava felt so real and authentic, and made me fall in love with them right from the start. This book had fabulous secondary characters that made me want to read their stories. This book had great backstory that had my heart breaking for Sam, and mostly understanding his hesitancy. And that *mostly* is, I think, where I rounded down instead of up. It took Sam just *slightly* longer than I liked to come to the right conclusions. But I'm still kind of waffling, b/c the rest of the story just captured me and gave me a wild ride.

Will definitely be looking for more from this series!!!

I felt so much for this book that the second I finished reading it, I went back in to reread it.
This is a friends to lovers/lifetime love story like I've never read before.
The sexual tension between Ava and Sam was electric but it wasn't drawn out for too long. The tension breaks pretty early on in the story and it's super hot but not overdone. Just the way I like it. Sam is sex on a stick, with a tool belt.
However, it was the friendship between Ava and Sam that really sucked me in. Once you see just how close they've been for the past 8 years, you'll wonder how they didn't fall into bed with each other sooner. Except for you will understand because you'll see that their friendship meant too much to ever let the idea of "more" change it.
This was a well-written, very low-angst read with the perfect combination of steam and sweet with some gut-wrenching scenes to round the whole thing out.
I have not read the first book in the series yet but I'm definitely adding it to my TBR as well as hoping that we get Ford's story sometimes soon. Shoot I can't lie, I want to read Tony's story too!!

It started a little slow and choppy, but once this story found its legs, it was gone, baby, gone. Maybe the start would have worked better for me if I'd read the first book in the series, but I think it works pretty well as a standalone.

The ending really ruined the book for me. Sam's reaction to "the truth" at the end just pissed me off and Ava wasn't any better accepting that kind of treatment.
