What a fun book! I was obsessed with the small town cryptid vibe this book gave off. The characters felt dynamic, and I liked Pratima in particular. The main character, Louie, had great character development! I loved where she ended up. She is definitely immature to begin with but grows through this - you can’t help but like her. And oh my god Louie’s parents were wonderful. They were so sweet and loved her so much. I also enjoyed the art style as it was colourful and easy to follow.
Most of all, however, I adored the message of this book! It made the point that your passion does not have to be your job, and that you don’t have to have an “incredible” job to be fulfilled. Essentially, jobs don’t need to have significance, they just pay for things!
Docked 0.25 because there was a part of the end that felt rushed/needed more explanation.
NB: Unsure if content warnings are comprehensive.
