It took me a while to like the paintings of Kershisnik, the popular Utahan LDS artist. But now, I am kind of in love with Kershisnik's art. This book contains some beautiful reproductions and helpful commentary. Maybe this sounds snobby of me, but I think a lot of modern LDS art is superficial and/or emotionally manipulative. With Kershisnik's art, I feel like I am challenged to think deeper and to see the humor in the everyday.
