This has a little romance but it has an interesting way of telling the mystery of the town. The writing style is great as it follows the days of the main characters and having one be in the perspective of a writer.

This felt really slow for me in the very beginning. I feel like the whole story didn't kick in for me until the halfway mark and then I started to get into the story more and more. I feel a bit meh about Hazel. I get her husband is kind of a dickhead but I can't just absorb the whole cheating thing without going full on judgemental. It also read more of an office romance and it just happens to be mixed with crime. Overall, I still like it. Just didn't thrill me enough.
