While humorous and definitively indicative of modern academia and higher education, the book was just not quite my taste. It was one more to be read in batches rather than a sit-down-and-read-straight-for-hours.

What begins as a series of near-spoof letters of recommendation from a curmudgeonly creative writing professor turns out to have a bit of a narrative arc. Just enough info is provided for you to see the tangled history he has with various other people from whom he must now beg favors. Fun read, will prob be most interesting to those who have some experience with academia.
