A short and sweet light-hearted tale. A much-needed change from the books I've been reading as of late.
Reading this book, I've come to the realisation that I enjoy British and Aussie humour quite a bit and that it adds greatly to my reading experience.

Didn’t acre about any of the characters and the narrative wasn’t going anywhere. All the side plot points bored me too

I almost never read anything with any sort of overt romance, but this was really very sweet! The concept and characters were quirky, and the audiobook narrators were completely fitting and fantastic. Close enough to realistic to keep me reading, and lovely at the end to make you go “awwww!”

I thought this was a very cute, enjoyable, and often touching story about two people finding their way to one another. I especially appreciated the way O'Leary portrayed Tiffy's struggles to get over her toxic relationship, a topic I'm always glad to see addressed in fiction. I thought it made the narrative seem a lot more natural, and it lent a genuine feel to the typical last-minute tension rom-coms require. I liked that the book was told from split perspectives because it also gave the reader a chance to see how Leon grapples to come to terms not just with what Tiffy's going through, but with his own experiences as a child watching his mother go from bad relationship to bad relationship. All in all, I just love books about nice people falling in love, and if that makes me twee, so be it. Cynicism is very easy in today's world, so I'm always happy to pick up a book and find something lovely and sweet within its pages.
