I really like the idea of this book but the final product feels a bit rough.

The text starts off straight into examples, which felt abrupt both times that I read it. Time Together: Me and Dad could have used a generic opener like "There are many ways I spend time together with Dad" or even just reused the "Moments big. Moments small. Time with Dad is the best time of all." text from the back cover.

I also hate to say this, but I'm not sure Pascal Campion's illustrations here are the best match. Not because I dislike his art (I follow him on Instagram and think he's great) but because he has a very fluid, sketchy style. And the illustrations for Time Together: Me and Dad are especially sketchy even for Campion's signature style. Pairing this art with the opener-less text makes the whole thing feel unfinished.
