This was kind of trip and fun. I liked the parallels they created to Holmes. It also had a kind of League of Extraordinary Women type vibe with all the other Victorian characters they brought in.

"Adler" is hardly an original concept given that "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" is 20 years old, and Theodora Goss brought us The Alchemist's Daughter and her all-female crew a few years ago, but...I liked the art that I saw in previews (the bold lines and flat colours, the character design, the architecture), so I kept reading. It was easier to finish knowing it was a 5-issue limited series, honestly. If it had been an open-ended series, I'd have bailed earlier.
It was modestly interesting, but I can't recommend you run out to acquire it.
