Hopalong Cassidy and the Bar 20 crew skirmish with another ranch over territory and then join forces with that same outfit to battle a gang of rustlers. It’s not a complicated plot but it was interesting to read about these characters as crafted by Mulford before Louis L’Amour was hired to write the stories.  It’s a well written story that incorporates the hard range work of ranchers at this time in US history and the bonds they form with their crew.
