Slightly different setting than the usual Beaumont tale.

Really liked this one. Was neat to see JP Beaumont out of his element.
Listened as an audio book, Gene Enjene does an excellent job with all the voices.

Book #18 read in 2013
This book had way more action than the previous in the series. Plus it had a ton of twists and turns that kept me guessing throughout. Although the clues to the identity of the killer made it easy to figure out who, the why was a surprise. Enjoyed it!

I really enjoyed this book. J.P Beaumont is in sunny Wickenburg, Arizone to dry out from his drinking problems. His roommate is a spoiled teenager who often sneaks out after curfew.
Things are going along fairly well until his roommate is killed, and he becomes one of the suspects. His time is cut short, but there are some fun bits in the second half of the book. Very enjoyable.
