The biggest example of telling and not showing that I’ve read in a while. I do think that I’ve been reading almost entirely third person for years now though, which may be throwing that off. Some good twists but I also saw some coming. Read pretty much all in one go because it was that easy.

The cast of characters is an interesting concept; however, I think some characters were more well developed than others. The main plot isn't what you think, the murder that is teased in the beginning does not happen until about 80% in. However, I did not really mind because I was invested in Lottie searching for answers regarding her mother.
