This story was so wholesome and lovely. Honestly, the best part is that it’s written by two women who are married. Their love for each other and their work shined through in the story, and that’s why the characters are so very full of love. A beautiful piece of work.

I listened to it as an audiobook although I am not usually a fan of audiobooks. But this narration truly made me invested in the story and prohibited my thoughts from swaying away too far from the story.
The characters and their chemistry were amazing, listening to the story almost made me feel like watching a nice romcom teenage movie, a really nice experience with funny and emotional scenes. A truly must heard, or must read, recommendation from me!

The perfect romance for Valentine’s Day and I’m so glad I got my hands on it. I feel like I flew through this book and I was always looking for time to sit down and read it. (Um…hello? I just finished this book and am writing a review on Friday night at 1:30 a.m.). I will definitely be reading more by the author(s) and it was so nice to read a book that both had good queer representation but also, didn’t make that the entire plot point. The characters got to become full people which I really appreciated. Five stars ⭐️

She Gets the Girl shows you that no matter how messed up you can be with your home life, if you are willing to put in the effort to find a connection you can find someone.
This is a classic 'enemies' to best friends to lovers. It demonstrates incredible growth, friendship, and opening up about hard things being a necessary step to building a community around yourself. Sometimes things are hard, and sometimes you have to call someone out, but you have to do it for yourself.
If you like dual POV, friendship turning to love, and silly light hearted moments that become the foundation of more you will love this book. The ending of the book felt a little bit rushed with everything being tied up very quickly but that is a nitpick and it is an objectively enjoyable, well written book!
TW for alcoholism, and racism both of which are handled with care.

Me entretuvo bastante, siento que el lenguaje era ligero y los personajes caen muy bien. Fue como ver una serie y, es más, creo que es de los libros que funcionarían bastante bien como una serie o película. Creo que al ser personajes con personalidades distintas atrae mucho porque te puedes identificar con alguna y realmente disfruté ver cómo interactuaban entre ellas, creo que daban para más. No me disgustaría el ritmo si tuviera 200 páginas más porque no lo sentí mal hasta que, a la mitad del libro, recuerdas que se trata de un libro de romance y las protagonistas se tienen que enamorar. En vez de eso creo que desarrollaron bastante bien los motivos iniciales de las dos protas: Enamorar/Reconquistar a sus respectivos crushes. Lo desarrollaron tan bien que a más de la mitad del libro las autoras se acordaron que las dos protagonistas se tenían que quedar juntas Y NO ESTABA PASANDO NADA ENTRE ELLAS. Lo que resulta de eso es agregar situaciones convenientes y desarrollar el romance en una velocidad x2 y es por eso que sentí que al final las dos protagonistas quedan mejor como amigas porque es lo que vi desarrollarse en el 70% del libro: UNA AMISTADD, claro que cada una tenía sus motivos pero sí sentí el romance muy artificial; como lo que tenía que pasar para que acabara el libro. Es por eso que tampoco me gustó cómo las autoras se deshicieron de los otros personajes (Natalie y Cora), fue muy conveniente y solo las sacaron porque tenían que dar el pase libre para que la pareja principal terminaran juntas.
No sé si es porque no leo mucho romance pero sí sentí mal que ninguna de las dos consiguiera amigos al final, porque no resolvieron la situación o el problema que plantearon al principio: Alex no tenía amigos a quiénes llamar salvo a su novia del momento y Molly que, de por sí no sabe socializar, su objetivo era conseguir amigos en la universidad. Al final consiguieron novia perooo igual siento que se les aproxima una relación MUY dependiente emocionalmente debido a eso.
A pesar de eso disfruté el libro porque me recordaba bastante a la canción How you get the girl de Taylor Swift y porque una ♡special ʚloverɞ girlie♡ me lo prestó. Mi sorpresa llegó en el momento en el que veo que el título original es She gets the girl, mi mente explotó por Taylor Swift. Yo pensaba agregar a mi reseña que el título que le pusieron ("Chica conoce chica") es de lo más basic que hay pero al ver el título original me quedo más satisfecha porque ahora sé que es culpa de la traducción.
