Fantastic debut from Izzy Szyn. As a long time blogger and reviewer I've read it all. From debut novels better left on the writing table to novels and books you would never have expected were an author's debut novel. I was pleasantly surprised when reading The Anniversary Present. At times it is apparent that this was not written by a seasoned author, but the freshness of the concept and characters is engaging and draws a reader in. As always there is a villain. I could obviously have done without Lynn. She reminds me too much of every snobby repressed person I ever came across in college.

Althought this very sexy and steamy read was a first attempt with Ms Szyn, I have no doubt that we'll be hearing more about her in the near future. And I for one can't wait.
