I found this even better with this read, since I read is last time I did randomly catch this on tv and it was a great episode of Poirot. The book was superb yet again and despite knowing what was coming it didn't spoil my enjoyment of it but enriched it, with knowing what is coming I could pick up on the clues planted before the big reveal at the end. Masterful.
Original Review
Superb, to be expected given the author and series. Actually the first Poirot book I have ever read, I have seen the episodes of the ITV series and some of the films but never actually read one. Quite good and certainly wont be my last.
You could give me a thousand attempts and I wouldnt have guessed the twist. I did guess some of the things like Pilar, though the fake moustache did make me wonder why. Made sense in the end.

Another great Agatha Christie read! I love the cosy mystery feeling that I get every time I read one of her novels. Even though they’re about murder, they never feel dark and twisted. It’s always the perfect amount of suspense and intensity to nourish the readers hunger. Exceptional writing every time and no loose ends are ever left unattended. I love Poirot and I’m sure I always will!
