I really enjoyed this book. It is so helpful whenever it comes to planning out what you are going to do on the Winter Solstice or during Yule. There were so many really interesting and thorough information and recipes, crafts, lore, rituals, spells, prayers and so much packed in this little book that was so helpful when planning out what I personally am doing for Yule, and it just made me even more excited to celebrate this Sabbat. I just think this is a really helpful book, and I definitely recommend it!

Good read, i'm a bit more into this one because i'm already more familiar with yule times.
It has info. and then some prayer/meditations and things some may find more helpful.

A lot of this didn’t apply to me, but I really enjoyed all of the history behind Yule and the insights into embracing winter time. “One of the newest theories regarding Seasonal Affective Disorder links it to fighting against winter’s rhythms instead of embracing them.”

Very comforting in the face of winter and gives good meaning to Yule and the season (I knew very little about the origins of the season, and this was quite helpful).

Would have loved more instruction about reflections and journaling for the season.

Lots of history, information about workings. Recipe, lore, crafts, correspondences. Love the Rituals explanation and that there are rituals for solitary, small group, and coven work!

Pretty good information. Some things I questioned but I know they are arguable. It’s a sneak peak/intro book to many different ways to celebrate before looking more deeply elsewhere into the practices mentioned. Giving it a five for being a recommended beginner book. Even as a person who has been a practicing Pagan and Witch over half of my life I still enjoyed it.

Contains interesting current & historical info, but often repetitive. It was excruciatingly painful trying to get through the recipes listening to audio. Wish I had skipped the last sections of the book from recipes on.

I read this as part of a challenge toread a non-fiction book about a holiday I don’t celebrate. It accomplished the purpose of giving me knowledge of thngs I hadn’t previously known.
