I will forever be ruined for all book boyfriends until the end of time. Noah Barden will forever have my heart.

I LOVE a grump. I’m talking I will read a book based on that trope alone and Noah Barden is a GRUMP. But the boy is also completely obsessed. His inner monologue when it comes to Shay is unhinged in the best way possible.

I loved that Shay finally got to have the family she had always wanted. Her heart is so big, but so are her insecurities, and she needed someone to knock down those walls. Who better than her highschool bestie Noah Barden.

I truly do not know how a book will ever compare to this. I’m completely head over heels in love with their love and I’m broken over the fact that I never get to read this for the first time again.

I will accept no slander of this book. I will be reading no reviews. 10/5 ⭐️. Literally as close to perfect as a book can get. Bonus points for no third act breakup. This book deserves accolades. & idc who says otherwise.

This book was almost perfect! My only question is why the faking was necessary?

I always love a good love story where the man was in love for ages and the woman has no idea. This was especially cute because they both were so freaking pure.
Our lovely MMC was the softest teddy bear ever. I want a husband like him. He’s a great uncle. He always puts others first. He always helps others. He knows his boundaries. He respects other people’s boundaries. Like I know this is basic but I never met a man like that. And the way he loves… I want to cry because I’ll never ever experience a love like this.
Our FMC is the kindest teacher I’ve ever read about. She was born to teach. She was born to love and be loved. I hope they’ll have a million babies if that’s what they both want. Shay was also very independent which I liked. I did not like how she treated herself though. I hope she gets to work through her issues. As well as the others. Everyone just needs to go to therapy for a while but they are perfect the way they are anyways.
I loved the addition of the niece. Of course Gennie shouldn’t have cursed like a sailor - uhm pirate- but she was great overall.
I just love it when a romance book makes me feel like the way I am feeling right now!

I don't know this funny and had cute moments but I found myself getting bored a lot. Noah just wasn't it for me and was usually a bit infuriating and just rude.

Some good passages around the FMC being blindsided by the end of a big relationship, which resonated. MMC massively overused 'wife' which was grating, and the growly snarling was a bit much for me, despite usually liking grumpy sunshine and alpha mcs
