Interesting insight, although thematically it felt repetitive at times.

My only real complaint is that too much real estate in the book is devoted to gripes against the West and its wars of aggression. I agree that this is worthy of lamentation, but this book doesn't really equip you with any sort of tools to recognize and overcome propaganda, which is kind of what I was expecting.

was super interested in the synopsis of this book, but found it was the author at points just rambling. May pick up again in the future but for now it’s a dnf

Couldn't finish this. Agree with the author's politics, but this isn't particularly well written. It's rather rambling and there's a bit too much of his 'journey' in there, which is the fashion these days of course, but only works for me if the author's experience is particularly entertaining and noteworthy, or written with great insight or humour. I didn't find that the case here unfortunately.

Best read on an e-reader that lets you change the text to green.
