Very good Novella with much needed background from Kiernan's POV.
Highly recommended for readers of the other books in the series. To be read after the first and before the second book.
But do not pay too much for it, I read it for free, it was an Amazon-Prime-lent book.

It was good getting into Kiernan's head and seeing his view on certain scenes from the first book. I'm still rooting for Trey though! Can't wait for October for the next full book.
**Second time around, is even better!

I found it very interesting to get a glimpse of Kiernan's side of the story, as well as his version of Kate. I didn't like it quite as much as the main books in the series, but I did enjoy seeing a different perspective. Although it made me like Kiernan a little more, I am still rooting for Trey so far...but that is more difficult now that we as readers have gotten to know Kiernan better. I'm looking forward to seeing where the rest of the series goes.

It reminded me of the novella in Four's perspective in the Divergent series. It was definitely an interesting read from Kiernan's view in that t fills in a lot of the timelines that Kate doesn't experience in the series' first novel.

Novella that give background on a previous Kate from Kiernan's perspective. Interesting.

Could not connect all the dots perfectly and the mental math on all the time loops made my brain ache. But it was such a great primer to the sequel. Cannot wait.

Short review: This is a short book, about 100 pages, to bridge between books one and two. It seemed pretty disjointed and the tone shifted from clearly young adult in the first book to much more adult in this novella with lots of implied sex and nudity. Not on the page, but implied. Still not what I would included as young adult. It was fine, but not much really happened except back story.

Lots of words, not much to say. Maybe it will make more sense when (if?) I read book 2. Disappointing, given that I enjoyed the first book.

Book 1.5 in the Chronos Files series... i do like these smaller filler books that come out nowadays. This one was 100 pages, which was long enough to feel like not just a random extra chapter. This is a time travel series and 1.5 is from Kiernan's POV and provides a lot of insight into the makeup of the Cyrists' organization and we get to see an alternate history that Kate didn't even know about since the last book was her POV. Great addition to the series and i really can't wait for book 2 to come out.
