An absolutely luxurious read. The writing was something you rest in, something to roll around in your mouth and your mind. It’s climate fiction, which can be heavy, but it’s also a book that inspires desire and hope and deep love for the complexity of life. The food descriptions were great, and the descriptions of why food matters were even better. Even reading the acknowledgments was a treat! I will be thinking about this book for a long time and would highly recommend.

This short big runs deep and wide. It’s a lot of things… Dystopia, Socio-political commentary, Satire, Gastro Horror, Loss of a Mother story, and a cautionary tale regarding climate collapse, how we change food and food changes us and change is inevitable.
