This review and many more can be found on my blog: Feed Your Fiction Addiction

This non-fiction account of Greta Thunberg’s story teaches kids that they can make a difference in the world, if only they employ some determination and persistence. Kids find Greta inspiring, and the book will drive readers to find ways to preserve the health of our environment—Greta’s passion is sure to rub off on readers once they understand why she feels so strongly that conservation is a task for each and every individual. While Greta’s actions were extreme and some adult readers might take issue with Greta’s extended strike from school, kids will hopefully be inspired to stand up for the earth in smaller ways as well, and they will see that their actions can have impact. The story has been translated from the original Italian and is told somewhat simplistically (it feels like it’s geared toward younger MG readers to me), but it’s a great introduction to an influential teen!

This was an awesome MG biography about Greta Thunberg and her fight for climate change. It was great to read about her journey, her history with Asperger’s, her family and how she continues to fight for our planet. Lots of kids will enjoy reading this and I hope it sparks conversations.

A very quick read, but an informative and interesting story about Greta and how she's becoming a household name in terms of climate activists. This is great for any kid who's interested in the environment/science/leaders/activism. I think this would be a great read-aloud for 3-5!

Greta Thunberg is fifteen years of age who decides to protest outside the government chambers in Stockholm for climate change rather than attending school. Understanding Greta's passion for the environment her parents support her.
Written in simple and accessible language  with great illustrations, Greta's Story: The Schoolgirl Who Went on Strike to Save the Planet is a nice introduction for children to learn about climate change.

I recently picked this up when I went to my local bookstore as I enjoy reading short and quick books but also because I am fascinated by Greta's story. I read her book; No one is too small to make a difference' last year and was shocked at how passionate she is. This isn't written by her, but talks about her story and journey for saving the environment. I wish I read this book before the other as I felt I would've had a more clear understanding of what she mentioned.

I am constantly blown away by Greta's achievements and passion for saving the planet which is clearly shown throughout. I especially like how there is a section at the back which includes 11 changes that you can make as well as articles and how to talk to your children about the environment in a way that is age appropriate.

I highly recommend reading this and will definitely pick up more books that I see about Greta but also more environmental books to educate myself more and make the changes that I need too.

This was read for my 'read a book that starts with the word 'the' and 'read a book with a cover that matches the colour of your birthstone' challenge for The Reading Rush 2020.

This is not even written by Greta Thunberg. In the German translation it said that she “suffers“ from Asperger’s, although she denied this phrasing in an interview! Of course I support Greta‘s claim for climate justice, but I do not like this book. I know that it’s a children‘s book, still it could benefit from a more accurate writing style.
