I thought I knew what the ending would be halfway through the book and spent the second half impatiently waiting for it to finally unfold, but I was wrong! And the actual ending was decently conceived! She's done it again!

Poirot helps a young lady to find out the truth about her mother and the murder she was convicted for. As Poirot gathers the stories from everyone involved we get each one's point of view on the matter. But though the main stories are the same, the details vary. So who is lying and who is telling the truth?
In my experience the culprit is never the character I like the least,
so again I was wrong about who the real murderer was. And again I'm glad it's Poirot and his little grey cells who's asked to solve the case, not me lol

Maybe not regarded as up there with Death on the Nile or Murder on the orient express but I still think Agatha Christie was A GENIUS and would her own against many people writing today . The Murderer should be obvious and yet the way she writes makes the whole thing utterly compelling and atmospheric and you cant help turning the page and she crams in a lot of action and intrigue in under 300 pages.

The depiction of feminism in this book is truly something, but man this was so much fun to read.
