I ventured into this despite the book being YA, which is a bit young for me. But I loved the tv show and wanted to experience more of this particular shade of dark and intense teenage girlness.
It should've hit all the right spots, but I couldn't really get into the story until the final quarter of the book. I absolutely loved the ending though, so it payed off.
If this wasn't such a quick and easy read I probably wouldn't have finished it, but that seems more down to me, not the book itself.
I would recommend this to any teen (who doesn't mind the trigger warnings). The way it displayed powerbalances, friendship, love, finding a purpose - while growing up - was quite insightful.
