A lot of interesting information, especially the historical anecdotes. A lot of the big concepts were not new to me, but that might have been because I had a fair academic focus on adjacent topics in college. A good intro, would be interesting to hear the author’s thoughts in the post-pandemic world.

My favourite idea from this book was if the people aren’t using the space, blame the space being insufficient, not the people being unwilling!
I think the increase in undergraduates is partly to do it being one of the few third spaces for young people that’s sufficiently funded and managed.
Also, you’ve gotta love libraries.
