I didn't love it, but it was cute enough. Easy, quick read where I would recommend if you wanted a cute, YA romance that you can finish in a day.
Contains so much miscommunication and very dramatic emotions (to be fair, FMC is only 18 years old, she's allowed to be dramatic).

Now, this is what I'm talking about!!! I think this cured me of my reading slump? I liked the chess component and enjoyed learning more about that world. Love that Nolan was so obsessed with Mallory, super cute and very slay. They were so fun to read about. I was giggled and gagged. The rushed ending, though, was not so slay. Give me the juicy details!!!! rude. Kind of got annoyed by how Mallory's family treated her (but maybe that's the eldest sibling chip on my shoulder). Not life changing but def life improving!!

Very adorable slow burn of enemies to lovers. Halfway through the book I was upset there wasn’t more smut then I realized it was a YA novel, not adult.
