I was so bored. I enjoyed the first two books well enough and for this one to be the conclusion to the story was disappointing. It dragged on. Every time you think there might even be a moment of happiness for the main characters something tragically happens. Not once till the end do they get even a moment. By the halfway mark I was skimming the pages, I just wanted to get to the end. And then once I was there I was so annoyed! That last battle felt out of place. Like there was no reason for any of the plot points to happen other than the authors wanted to make the already special chosen one even more special. I don’t know. Maybe I was already so annoyed with the book the ending had the opposite effect on me than intended.
