My first fae book and I loved it!! Definitely need to pick up more romance fantasy book that are on this level. The romance was cute and every part of this story was needed and not wasted at all. I wanted a bit more from the side characters, but I understand the book probably would have dragged on. Can’t wait to read this one again.

This book is okay and probably a better read than I am giving it credit for. It was recommended as a book to read if you enjoyed Cruel Prince. Unfortunately for me the similarities were too similar and the differences were not compelling to me. It's definitely a lighter tone than cruel prince so if that's something you like in books you will probably enjoy this one. I found it so/so and a bit disappointing.
I might check out the others in the series even though they are technically all stand alones.

This was a lot of fun! The first chapter felt a little rushed and had me concerned, but then it picked up really fast and had me hooked. I loved Juliana, she is an intelligent badass. Hawthorn was witty and charismatic, very charming. There was a lot of really great dialogue throughout. I was honestly ready to give this 5 stars until the end. It felt a bit rushed and the characters that you had spent so much of the book following almost didn’t seem like themselves anymore. And wow did it end waaaaay too sappy for my liking. Besides that, this would have been a five star read for me, I had a great time, the plot was interesting, the banter was so fun, and I really was rooting for so many of the characters.

I received an ARC of this book.

This story was perfect. A sleeping beauty retelling where the prince is the one who is cursed and has to be saved by his knight Juliana.

Their slow-burn romance was beautifully developed. Many times when the characters were just thinking about each other, I got butterflies. You, the reader, can tell long before either of them how you hope the story will turn out. And then it delivers. Happy endings all around!

Not only was the story itself good, but the book is designed beautifully. The cover art is gorgeous and the part pages and chapter titles are accented with vines and thorns to fit the story.

Love this book and can’t wait for more.
