prime time by sandra brown (rachel ryan)
She's trying to get the scoop of a lifetime to get her the better job at the network.
He is a recluse and is getting very old and he has stipulations to the interview.
Andi has the interview and he wants her to stay at the family house. Her film/audio crew will stay in the bunkhouse.
Ryan the son has objections but his dad holds his ground.
Health issues arise and Ryan falls apart and Andi tries to help but can she achieve a better outcome?
Just when you think a happily ever after ending, everything erupts and there is no way this is going to be a happy ending....

Stars are just for General Ratliff and other secondary characters. Andy had too much betraying body syndrome for a man who was consistently rude for no reason whatsoever. I did like how she lit it into Lyon at the end but it was too little too late, just like his apology. I’m not sure if I liked the comedy bit at the end or not. It didn’t seem to fit smoothly with the story even if it was funny.
Like I said, not crazy over the petulant hero (even if he did have a delicious raspy voice). Brown usually has mature men with masculine edges but giving natures so her “hero” here was a bit of a letdown. Points for him getting on so well with his father, though.

Bukan pertama kalinya baca romance-kontemporer punya Sandra Brown.

Perjalanan kisah romansa mereka bikin deg-deg-an.

So far, entertaining. Sudah kuduga, novel Sandra belum pernah mengecewakan saya.

This book got 4.2 rating from me.

I got a disc and a half in and was actually nauseated. Not Sandra Brown's fault. She warned me that it represented the styles of an earlier day. I am not sure it I would have found this romantic in the earlier day. I hope not, but I don't know. After the first "forced seduction" scene I could see how this book was going to go and I couldn't go there.

This was a very good story and I loved reading it. You knew that it would turn out ok but toward the end it made you wonder if you were wrong.
