My dad brought this book home from Kraków for me in 2009 and I finally got around to reading it now, after my own trip to Poland. It’s a cute collection of folklore stories from Poland. I would have liked more historical context or explanation to the stories, but these short, simple stories have strong morals and are great for younger audiences (though the one about the mice eating the king and queen was pretty gruesome!)

Always fun learning new folk/fairy tales. Perhaps having read some of the more gruesome tales these didn't seem to have as much conflict, or perhaps they're more kids' stories. Am interested in the others in the series now to learn more about other world tales!
