The writing and character development were heavy-handed. Lots of telling and little showing.

Too much telling and info dumping not enough showing. Predictable plot twists. Needs a better editor, sentence structure was odd at times. Also needed better character action descriptions, I was confused frequently at where exactly the characters where and what they were doing.

Ahh, reading a fantasy book in English is my Achilles heel, and by adding the Victorian style here, it made the Kindle's dictionary my best friend.

But I enjoyed the story. Why shouldn't I? We have almost 90% of FBAA by Armentrout (which is one my all-time favourite books. Yes, I said it! Come at me, if you dare!) and 10% of "Beauty and the Beast".

Was the pacing off? I'm not sure. I liked the first part of the book, the dynamic between our MCs, but it felt rushed towards the end. Also, no plot twist for me - I got the main story plots around the 10th percent. But hey, we are just getting started. Let's keep our fingers crossed for the next books.

BTW, I read the book in three days, so obviously it's not a bad one.

Please, enjoy the following quotes at your own risk. It may or may not spoil the book for you.

Quotes:

"Ridiculous rules are truly asking to be broken."

"He made his choice. And I wasn't it."

P.s. The bonus content from Legion's POV was excellent.

Amazing

Oh my god! Oh my god! Oh my god! I did not think I would love this book as much as I did. Now parts of this story I kind of predicted but there was one hell of a plot twist I didn’t see coming! Not gonna lie I cried near the end though. I can’t wait to continue this story - I’m hoping he sees reason and doesn’t leave her again when she find him.
