Love You To a Pulp has been a very pleasant surprise. Again, I find myself writing a review for a book I have yet to complete to encourage others to give this book a try.

It is a short novel, about 140 pages and is about a glue sniffing, self employed private detective working on a case that involves pitting a father and daughter against each other.

The violent upbringing of the main character is also told in flash backs and while reading of the main character growing up, one does wonder how he ended up being a man of huffing.

The book is written as a rough, Southern novel that does not disappoint. Like many contemporary Southern writers, Cs Dewildt has a wonderful way of blending words to create mental imagery of the story told.

Highly recommended.
