This book is mostly known for it predicting the events of the Titanic years before the Titanic would set sail for its tragic voyage. The first part of this book was interesting to read because of all of the similarities between things that happened in the book and what would later happen to the Titanic. Then around the halfway point of the book, the book goes off the rails. This book had Also keep in mind that this book is short so each crazy thing that happened in this book came in quick succession from the last crazy thing that happened.
Overall I recommend this book for people looking for an easy and fun read.

It's uncanny how close the ship dimensions of the fictional Titan was to the Titanic and how similar the fictional account of the Titan striking an iceberg was to that of the Titanic. Fortunately, the survivors of the Titanic were not faced with any life-threatening encounters with polar bears. That would have been unreal!

I gave up after the first section. I think it's a time issue--it would have been better if I had read it back in the early 1900's.
