I read this nearly 600-page book in one sitting--the coming-of-age story is beautiful, sad, funny, intelligent and haunting. I loved the illustrations. Quite an accomplishment for Craig Thompson.

I am still thinking about this book and still not sure of my feelings towards the story. I definitely did find the story compelling in many ways as the characters grew and developed.
I will get back to this soon.

This book is truly wonderful and the fact that it is autobiographical makes it all the better to read. Craig Thompson does a amazing job of detailing his early life, fall from faith and first love. Using his stunning art style he tells a captivating story you don't want to put down. There is not much else I really want to say other than regardless of if you are a graphic novel fan or not. Or if you'd like to get into graphic novels with something effortlessly easy to read then this is the book for you. I'd say its a must read for everyone.
