I feel like the writer rushed the ending. After 2 chapters you find out the killer is the childhood friend.

If you're looking for a deep or meaningful read, look elsewhere, but if you like dark, twisty, drama-filled mysteries with kinda snarky main characters--think Veronica Mars with a supernatural twist--this'll be a fun book for you! It's a quick read with lots of twists and turns, plus a cast of characters which, while not necessarily the most fully developed, are entertaining and work for the type of story this book is telling. I think the sense of humor lends itself better to the older end of ya readers, so I'd probably recommend this to 8th grade up!
