I really enjoyed this novella, containing 4 creepy stories but great storylines!

They are quick to read and I would recommend for a quick thrill.

My first from this author and won't be my last!

I really enjoyed the last set of short horror stories I read from P.L. McMillan so I was all for diving into more of their work.

Ultimately, these stories are entirely too short to really grow into anything of substance for me. But, they also have so much potential and it would be so wonderful if they were allowed to flourish into larger lengths to explore.

My favourite was Affirmations because I loved how the words of encouragement were twisted to propel the plot forward. Definitely would’ve preferred if this had been elaborated some more for a longer story for sure.

This short story collection features tales of suspense, horror, loss, and all things macabre.

Stories range from one to nine pages, during which P.L. McMillan expertly captures the unease and eerie nature of well-known horror authors such as Henry James, and Shirley Jackson.

This book is great if you want to read but don't have a lot of time on your hands. They are solid horror stories, however, the stories seemed to end rather abruptly. If you're a horror fan, you should check this book out.
