some things are definitely dated, but man. i actually loved the mathematical/scientific reasoning. actually a pretty fun thiught experiment on what it would be to actually colonize another planet(oid). yknow what, your roght, humanity stays the same. its all a big circle innit

Acceptable. I wanted to read all the Sci-Fi Hugo Award Winning books. This was the winner from 1951. Short read, interesting. Definitely reflective of the time, but enjoyable nonetheless.

The ending kinda felt "thrown together" in a way.

Definitely targeted at teen boys in the 50s, but still a solid book. Fun hearing the descriptions of the night/day sky on Jupiter's moon.

Better than I expected, even after considering all the annoying 1950's conservative aspects. It reminded me of The Martian by Andy Weir, which I also enjoyed.

This was originally was serialized in the Boy's Life (boy scout magazine) in the 1950s. It was intended as a young teen story. It is a bit dated, but isn't bad.

One of the best books I've ever read.
