An immersive and personal recount of the author's experiences as a Polish Jew in WW2 - from surviving the Warsaw Ghetto to years in concentration camps.
I got this book at the bookshop at the Auschwitz museum after asking for recommendations. I am glad I finally got around to reading it.
I kinda wished it had chapter breaks to make it easier to read, but as a retelling it was still cohesive. I found it to be heartbreaking but also objective, which can be difficult when writing about such personal experiences.
