This book is so enchanting. I remember my mum reading it to me as a kid and I really enjoyed going back to it all these years later. Whilst there are a few racially questionable moments and a couple of slurs, you have to take this book as when it was written, and mostly it's just a sweet book about a doll living out her life.
Moderate: Racism, Fire/Fire injury, and Colonisation
Minor: Racial slurs
This book has a very white, 1920s view on people of colour. It's not aggressive but just the cultures are pretty looked down upon in places
