The details of this novel are hazy, but I do remember liking it enough to want to read it again.

Reminded me strongly of 'The Perks of Being A Wallflower', sans molestation.

This book was hard to put down. It's realism depicts teen life with every skin-crawling moment of shame pumped up to 11. The ick factor is so good, that you have to give credit to Kirn for his depictions... yet I probably won't recommend it to friends.

Very interesting book. I loved where the character went and loved the ending. If you liked the movie, reading the novel isn't too hard. And it gives a better feel than the movie of mid-west suburbia.
