Recently watched the film and it was a solid adaptation. Enjoyed it very much though I think I was frustrated with the ending.

I had little sympathy for the main characters as they all came across as terrible people at one time or another. However, likability of characters does not impact the quality of the book. Adichie creates unlikeable characters that nonetheless make for interesting reading.

There is also humour in the novel with characters including Ugwu and Mama Oji showing their wit.
