This was okay, started with very well, but went a bit down hill. I liked the swinging storyline, but West clearly states he was just attracted to his wife Tilly because of the sex, but I felt he just swapped her for Piper because that all he was interested in with her, the only difference in Pipers character was she was a little shy and not so mean as Tilly. Overall not a bad read for KU and I would certainly try another book by this author.

I went in to this book knowing it had some content which may not be easily listened to, but this one took me completely out of my comfort zone. And I am so glad I listened. The characters in this story are all flawed, each having their own problems. When their marriage is in jeopardy, Piper does a lot of research and she and her husband Cannon decide to try swinging. Tilly and West have an unconventional marriage and are ready for anything. When these two couples collide, all bets are off. The rules, well, who needs rules? Emotions? Of course they are involved, it's hard not to. Secrets? There are many that come out taking this book on a journey of self discovery, growing and healing. I could not put this one down, it was so literally all engrossing, I had to know what was going to happen next. I didn't know which characters I wanted to end up together, who would surprise me the most and who I really disliked. As it went on, those decisions became easy but all through the story there is so much going on(besides the incredible HOT sex) that trying to get into the minds of the characters was very hard. Incredible story, will definitely be looking for more by this team of authors.

Narration on a book is key for me. If the narrators are not good, it's easy to gloss over the story, but in this case Marni Mann and Gia Riley picked the perfect team to dually narrate. Aaron Shedlock, with his incredible voice gave West the sexiness necessary to begin his relationship with Piper and continue with such emotion as his own self realization of what he wanted that you are completely drawn into him. Tracy Marks as Piper will rip your heart out with the hurt, pain and frustration Piper feels and the love and attraction, pulling you in and making you experience everything. These two together are amazing.

Honesty is the best policy, right?

Ok, so here goes:
1. I needed this book because of the cover.
2. I signed up to read it and then read the blurb.
3. I was super wary because I don't like cheating and I never considered swinging as anything else. (Judgey McJudgerson, I know)
4. It is hot as F@CK. I know that's crude but it's hot.
5. As hot as it was, I was still not sure because well...judgey.
6. What a freaking shock!!!!! Didn't see that coming. I mean part of it yeah, but not that surprise.
7. I can't possible imagine the pain the shock caused.
8. Happy that things went the way they did but would love to see a certain someone get their just desserts...

Not only am I judgey, but vengeful too.

I absolutely loved this book! The minute this one downloaded to my Kindle I started reading and was immediately hooked. There are a lot of books that once I start reading I don't want to put down, but with Lover it was impossible for me to put it down. I read it in one sitting and absolutely devoured every single word of this story both anxious and dreading getting to the end. Gia Riley and Marni Mann had me completely captivated with West and Piper and I never wanted this book to end.

Piper's marriage hasn't been the same for awhile, and she is lost trying to figure out what to do to get her and Cannon back on the same page. When she stumbles on a forum that introduces the idea of swinging, she begins to think that might be what could save them. As Piper and Cannon meet a couple and venture into new territory, they begin to realize that they had drifted apart more than they thought and the people 7:they are now is no longer who they had married. Soon they are each finding their desires fulfilled by another in a way they never had with each other, but what happens when Piper starts to feel more for West?

First let me tell you that this book was HOT! West was super sexy and I couldn't get enough of him! West and Tilly's marriage had been more about sex than anything else, and it was clear they clicked on that level. However with Piper, West had a connection and these two were clearly more right from the start. They felt perfect for each other in every way, and that just grew stronger as the story continued. Piper loved Cannon, but no matter what she tried she knew there was a lot he wasn't telling her. I felt so bad for her and how she struggled because of that doubt and the insecurities that seemed to be reinforced as Cannon continued to not let her in. West was the exact opposite, and was what she truly needed! He built up her confidence and showed her that she was desirable and worth so much more. I loved these two for one another and they clicked on absolutely every level!

I will say that while I absolutely loved this book and highly recommend it, that it won't be for everyone. This is one book that needs to be gone into with an open mind. Both West and Piper are married to other people and while the swinging is agreed upon by all parties, you do see sex between West and Tilly as well as West and Piper, and the same happens with Cannon and Tilly as well as Cannon and Piper. It continues throughout the story, and I know that some will have some problems with that. For me, I knew what this book was going in and I was able to appreciate it for the story being told. As steamy and hot as this story is, it is about so much more and is one that to me is an absolute must read. This is a love story at it's core and I think it is definitely worth taking the chance on even if it is a bit out of your comfort zone. I honestly can't wait to go back and read this again, and I really can't wait to see what these two write in the future. I will definitely be keeping my eye out for more books from them!

Really good and nothing like I was expecting!

This was awesome. From the cover and blurb, I was honestly expecting a light, steamy beach read. Nope! Definitely steamy, but much more than a light, fluffy beach read. It was an interesting storyline and even had 2 twists I did not see coming. Well done ladies! I took off a star bc while I loved the twist with Tilly, I felt more should have been done with that particular plotline. It was really interesting and I feel the authors should have spent more time with it and dived in a little deeper. But other than that, really good book!
