Great graphic novel for kids. It has great humor, a good story about friendship and liking different things, and really great illustrations. At the end is also a "can you find me" page with different balloon shapes hidden throughout the book which is a clever way to get the kids to really engage with the book. I will definitely be recommending this series to our library kids.

Read books 1&2. Colors pulled me in but not enough story for me to recommend to others I guess.

The stakes, potty humor and the heart really ramp up in this second installment! I like the seek and find activity in the back of this one.

Blue, Barry and Pancakes are a trio of fun loving creatures. Each one has a distinct personality that any reader can relate to . Escape from Balloonia is a quick paced adventure in rescuing a beloved ball. When Blue and Barry want to play with Pancakes beach ball without his consent, an exciting adventure ensues. Through out the book, the trio find themselves in hair raising situations but eventually make it back to safety. The illustrations are colorful and help to bring the story to life. The sparse words and colorful illustrations will attract reluctant readers and ones starting to learn. At the end of the book, there is a biography on each of the main characters. Giving readers some fun facts to take away.
