Meh, this was fine. Not exceptional. It's nice to see what Bobbie was doing (or not doing) between books 2 and 3.
Moderate: Drug use
Minor: Gun violence and Violence

This was a nice little glimpse into what was going on with Bobbie between books 2 and 3, as told through the eyes of her moody teenage nephew. I could have done with less of the moody teenage perspective, but it was an interesting little story nonetheless.
Graphic: Drug use and Slavery
Moderate: Sexual content

I really enjoyed this book! It gave a nice perspective on the universe of The Expanse for people living on solid ground and living relatively normal lives rather than ones in complete turmoil. I listened to the audiobook, which is how I've been consuming all of the books in this series, and this one had a different narrator, which I didn't love. I hope the next novel in the series has the original narrator come back.
Graphic: Drug use and Slavery
One of the main characters cooks synthetic drugs, and this is talked about extensivelyxta_07's review

A small diversion from the main storyline of the Expanse Series. This novella focuses on Bobbie Drapers nephew, David. A chemistry student on Mars that cooks up drugs on the side.
While I enjoyed getting a little bit more of Bobbies backstory, and finding out what makes her tick. I did not really enjoy reading about David. But ,maybe that’s because I didn’t appreciate being inside the head of a cringey teenage boy. Interesting if you want to learn more about live on Mars in this universe, but not needed to progress along the Expanse storyline.
