This story has great potential. I did find it challenging in a couple of ways.
The vast majority of the story was told via dialogue. I was often confused as to who was talking. Also I was missing that internal dialogue a character has that gives us clues as to their motivation.
The passage at time wasn't documented. For example the couple was on it's way to a music festival at the end of one chapter and at the beginning of the next the same couple was on their way back from the same festival. I think the festival was a missed opportunity to create tension and let the reader identify with the characters.
