I hate to leave at wildly negative review, but there were only four pages in the entire thing that I felt were worth reading which is disappointing as I like the concept and themes. Oof. So glad this was from hoopla and that I did not spend money (or much time) on this.

Insightful snippets and interesting paintings that connect. I didn't dislike any of the poems, but I also didn't feel the need to add sticky notes or share with my friends immediately.

A super quick read, even if you try to savor it! I think I read the whole thing in 20 minutes. I’ve always loved seeing Amber’s art on Instagram and own both a print and a puzzle featuring her work.
In this collection, I enjoyed the paintings more than the poems. The poems felt a bit trite and vague, though I appreciated the themes. I love the bold, vibrant colors in her work; I found I loved the paintings and perhaps digital art? far more than the ones done in crayon or colored pencil (not sure which, they just come across as more childlike).

I liked it but most poems were four lines or shorter, which limited their depth and kept it pretty surface level. There were definitely a few that I related to or enjoyed, but quite a few were a little bit repetitive of classic quotes (ex. you can’t enjoy the sunshine without the rain). The abstract art made for a fun pairing though!

This wasn't for me. I didn't get the art and it felt pretty generic. I wanted to like it a lot more than I did.
