My only complaint is that the little girl was very young to be writing such sophisticated letters...

Everyday diversity. A little long for storytime, but it's very very sweet.

I don't usually enjoy epistolary picture books but this one is an exception. It was heartwarming, funny and very charming.

A charming read about the unbreakable bond and unconditional love between a mother and daughter. The concept is so unique and clever, with the story told through letters between Sophia and her mom. We soon understand why Sophia is on the moon and I enjoyed the subtle storytelling, which gives so much insight into what has happened and the pair's relationship despite minimal text. I also love the adorable illustrations and Asian representation (which was what made me pick this up in the first place).

Totally would recommend this lovely and whimsical book!
