I liked this one up until the end. I really wanted to like the final twist but it just didn't make any sense to me.

Like a lot of Freida McFadden books, I was definitely sucked in the entire time. I think the writing in this one was a lot less ploy holey than some others I've read, but there are still some questions I'm left with.
The plot line with the first teacher fired felt like it got lost to me, there was implications that Addie got him fired on purpose but this didn't go anywhere? Also did Eve know that Jay was Hudson??? If so her sleeping with a student was COMPLETELY ignored.

The teacher / student relationship was completely inappropriate and disturbing. It triggered me .

Quite the read, did not expect the little twist at the end. At least with this and her other book, The Housemaid, they follow a nearly identical structure. Near the end of the story you get to have a new perspective as final act concludes. The repetition in structure might bother some, but it hasn't for me yet since this is only the second book I read from her. Jury is not out on this one yet.

I didn't necessarily like any of the characters, but I did enjoy the story. It's hard to like the main characters when they're doing things they shouldn't be. Content warning should be noted for teachers engaging in inappropriate/sexual relationships with their students. It's a pretty big theme in this book so know what you're getting yourself into.
