Very dry, very slow and difficult to get through, but so influential and foundational that you have to read it.

It is shortly written with tremendous clarity and a sense of politeness that took me off guard. The argumentation is easily traceable and while it did get difficult a couple of times, Wikipedia offers a very substantive overview of Descartes his argumentations.
All in all, I gave the book five starts because of the originality of his argumentation, the impact his work had, and the skillfulness with which it was written.

I never want to read the phrase "that is to say" ever again.

The Discourse on Methods was nice, but The Meditations were a bit rough.
My favourite part is when Descartes urges me to have a splayed open animal heart in front of me as I read so as to better understand the point he is trying to make.

Read for school. The ideas were interesting to talk about, but difficult to follow when reading.
