I tried to stick with it because it was one of the first books I started reading when I decided to read again, but I was completely repulsed by the idea of picking it up and reading it. And when I did it was a trudge to get through 5 pages. The writing, yes, is slightly humorous, but beside that is completely uncompelling. It don’t grab you with the characters, they’re all detestable, and it doesn’t grab you with the plot, because barely anything ever happens. And when things do happen they’re not remotely exciting. I never thought I’d be a book hater, and, to be fair, I do not hate this book. It is just not for me.

One of the funniest books I've listened to in years. The narrator was simply spectacular. Not sure how much I would have enjoyed it if I had read it.

This was a fun read with some very quotable moments. The comedy wasn’t as strong as I’d expected. It was a bit tiresome spending so much time with such a detestable protagonist.

I don't know what to say except I hated this book. The characters are unlikable. At first, I thought I hated it because it was required reading for a class, then I realized I hated it because it was just miserable.

This is my all-time favourite book! The story and characters jump off the pages. I only wish the author had written more books!!!
