Sweet, beautiful and exciting book with pure and touching romance, eventful plot and an awesome ending! Loved Eli - in this installment he confirmed his status of one of my favourite book boyfriends - all he was doing or saying was perfect! The plot never ceased to amaze me and the ending was very touching. Highly recommended!!!

This book I felt was building, then ended very abruptly. It wasn't as good as the first one in my opinion.

Woah. Totally didn't see that coming. What a weirdly perfect ending.

This series was pretty good but not my favourite. Check out my blog for my brief review of the whole duology: https://mybooklife101.wordpress.com/2015/08/19/the-aftermath-of-the-devoured-dulogy-by-shelly-crane/

Nice ending.

Spoiler The fact that Eli became human
made up for all of Clara's stupidity here in this book. Eli is still the same protective and kind devourer while Clara is a basket case because of her
Spoilerblood mixing with devourer's blood
. The story revolved around mending that certain complication.

I would say that I enjoyed Devoured more than Consume, maybe because there's no Finn and Enoch. I just hated Finn for always making fun of Clara. Enoch on the other hand, is hot tempered one minute and then concerned the next. He's bewildering. I swear, they just both piss me off at every turn (except when
Spoiler Enoch saved them near the end
. I wish there were lesser scenes with them.

All in all, I love the ending. I love that Eli
Spoilerbecame human and still retained his power to have reveries
. Still a good read.

In my opinion this book is much more exciting than the first one.

We get to see a lot more of Eli's world, along with meeting people from his past and understanding a bit more about how he lived his life before he decided he didn't want to be evil anymore and before he met Clara. Their love is put to test once again as they fight against the Horde and find themselves in danger.

We get to see another side of Enoch, as opposed to the evil one we got a glimpse of in the first book. I have to say I really liked where the author was going with this new side of him, and I'm kind of hoping she decides to write something from his point of view. We also get to meet a new group of misfits supernatural creatures, the rebels. And they are as awesome as they sound.

I found this book a good closure to the Clara and Eli's story line, and I loved where Sherry Crane took me in the scenarios and situations she wrote for the characters. I'm definitely going to miss their story and all the amazing characters she created.

I really liked the conclusion of this story! I had to give it 5 stars! The way that Eli was with Clara just made my heart melt. It honestly reminded me so much of the way my husband and I are with each other and also reminded me so much of the Significance series that I just HAD to give it 5 stars this time. I loved their playful banter back and forth and that he was always encouraging her to be snarky and sarcastic and worried when she wasn't. I loved seeing Enoch's character evolve and Clara's banter with him, how they became more brother and sister over time. I love that the character's don't have this "fairytale" life and they have hurdles they have to deal with, yet it only makes them stronger. I think I'd be here all day if I went on about all the things I loved about this book. I really can't wait to see more from Enoch's character.

Very well done, Shelly! I couldn't put this book down and missed sleep, read it on car rides...mmmhmmm, you really know what a girl's heart desires. I finished this book in less than a day, and only because a girl's gotta sleep and be a mom sometime! :)
